Mary L. Snitch
Mary Lassiter Snitch holds the position of Director, NASA Programs with Lockheed Martin Corporation. Her 30-year professional career includes ten years at the U.S. Department of State and the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. She joined the private aerospace sector In 1983 with TRW and in 1985 joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA as Manager, Legislative and International Affairs. Mary returned to Washington in 1990 to join Lockheed Martin.
Mary Snitch Is extremely active and passionately supports education activities. She currently serves on the Board of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) as VP, Member Services, and is an elected Corresponding Member of the International Academy of Astronautics. She Is a 15-year member of the Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Foundation, and serves as an Officer on the National Board of Directors. The ARCS Foundation is a 501©(3) all-volunteer, all-women organization whose mission Is to provide significant scholar awards to outstanding US scholars who are pursuing degrees in STEM-related fields at 52 leading universities.
Mary received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from George Mason University and her Masters of Business Administration in Business, Economics and Public Policy from George Washington University. She and her husband Dr. Thomas Snitch live in Bethesda, Maryland.
