Partners & Friends
Since the Ron Brown Scholar Program’s inception in 1996, Friends of the Ron Brown Scholar Program (FORBS) have been a critical part of its success and that of our Scholars. We depend upon the support of FORBS to achieve our mission of accelerating the progress of African Americans into the mainstream of leadership. Anyone excited about helping today’s service-minded youth become the leaders of tomorrow can become a friend of the Program. Your assistance is not limited to financial support. You can become a friend of the Program by contributing in many other ways.
With your support, we provide opportunities to some of the finest African American students – our nation’s future generation of leaders. If you are interested in supporting our organization in any of the following ways, please contact: email@example.com
Ways to Serve
Ron Brown Scholars attending college need mentors to help them succeed and flourish while in school. Additionally, the Ron Brown Scholar Program creates a strong family bond among Scholars that continues in their post-graduate and professional careers. Many of our FORBS continue to mentor Scholars well into their adult lives, providing not only guidance but also friendship.
Committee and Board Members
We have active members on our various boards and committees that help support the Program in a myriad of efforts. Some of these members help guide strategic development of the Program and ensure that the Program is fulfilling its core mission. Others serve on our Selection Committee and volunteer their time interviewing Scholar candidates.
The Ron Brown Scholar Program has an amazing cadre of volunteers who support the Program in many different capacities. Volunteers work in our offices, help read Scholar applications, staff events, make phone calls, and participate in other activities to advance the Program and its Scholars.
Your contributions are essential in assisting Ron Brown Scholars realize their full potential. We depend upon your help to provide Scholars with the financial resources to attend some of the finest colleges and universities in the country and carry out Ron Brown’s legacy of service. With your help, the Ron Brown Scholar Program will continue to serve as the leading African American scholarship program in the country.
We partner with some of the leading private corporations and non-profit organizations in the world to help further the success of our Scholars. We work with each of our partners on customized partnership packages. For example, our partners provide regular internships, support specific programs and community service projects, and hold local alumni and cultivation events. In exchange, many Scholars pursue careers with our partners, helping them expand their pools of exceptional talent.
