After spending 2 formative years in Guinea, West Africa, and graduating from Columbia University with a BA in African-American studies, Fatime dove headfirst into the entertainment industry with the goal of bringing the diversity that has been such a huge part of her experience to the world of film and television.

Fatime got her feet wet in casting but soon realized that she wanted a bigger role in creating and developing programs that accurately reflect the experiences, lives and stories of people of color. After a stint at CBS television, she landed in the Development department at The N (the MTV network for teens), where she currently attends pitch meetings, analyzes scripts, and gets to work with supremely talented writers and producers.

Fatime is a member of NAMIC (the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications), the Broad Collective (an NYC-based women in media organization), and is a mentor for The N network's Young Voices Fellowship, a program that gives diverse college students the chance to learn the ins and outs of TV development.

Fatime’s ultimate goal is to one day rule the world...but she'll settle for running her own TV network.
