Plus Delta Partners
As a Senior Consultant and Healthcare Practice Lead at Plus Delta Partners, Chris works with his clients to help them secure more philanthropic resources to achieve their missions. His clients include a range of educational and healthcare organizations, including the University of California, San Francisco, Harvard Business School, the University of Georgia, Cornell University, The Hill School, California State University, Northridge, and the University of Virginia Health Foundation. He has coached over 500 gift officers and conducted over 5,000 individual coaching sessions. Chris is also a regular speaker at conferences like the Big Ten Development Conference, the National Association of Cancer Center Development Officers, and CASE District-level conferences.
Prior to joining Plus Delta Partners, Chris was Executive Director of Constituent Giving Programs at Villanova University, and Associate Director of Development and then Director of Major Gifts for two different units at the University of Pennsylvania. Chris also taught at the University of Pennsylvania’s Higher Education Management Program. He has written three published articles, co-authored another, and co-authored one book chapter.
Chris began his career in education as a student affairs professional. He was Associate Dean of Students at King’s College (Wilkes-Barre, PA) and Area Director in Residence Life at Dartmouth College.
He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Virginia, where he studied the motivations of high-capacity donors. He earned the M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. His B.A. in Chemistry with a specialization in Biochemistry is from the University of Virginia.
Chris was a volunteer for the Ron Brown Scholars program from 2000-2002 and is delighted to be returning to play a more formal role. He currently serves as a board member for the Chester County Art Association. He lives in West Chester, PA with his bride, Dottie, and their two children, John and Emma.
