Andrea Headley currently attends the University of Miami; she is in her last year of undergraduate education, double majoring in Human and Social Development and Criminology with a minor in Communications studies. She plans on getting her master’s degree at the University of Miami in the School of Education and Human Development’s ‘Community and Social Change’ program. She recently finished up her summer internships at the Urban League of Broward County and the Legal Aid of Broward County.

In the past years at the University, she has been working as a tutor/mentor for student athletes, as well as an office assistant in a program that serves the elderly populations. She has also been working in a research lab, recently presenting at the annual APS Convention, and she assisted in writing a publication for another research lab. This past year she also interned with the Miami Street Law Program, teaching law at a juvenile detention center once a week.

She was recently accepted to be a part of Young People For, which is an organization, designed for young progressive leaders to assist them in creating lasting change in their communities. Her interests include writing, praise dancing, attending church services and participating in church activities. She looks forward to finishing up her last year and starting on a new path to something great by God’s help!
