Vanessa M. Evans-Grevious

Mrs. Evans-Grevious joined the Ron Brown Scholar Program in the Fall of 2001. Before joining the Fund, she was the Senior Assistant Dean of Admissions at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Director of Admissions at James Madison University (JMU). In both capacities her areas of responsibility were diversity recruitment and program planning. While at JMU she also served as Coordinator of Events & Conferences in Student Affairs for several years.

Mrs. Evans-Grevious earned two degrees from JMU: a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Education in College Student Personnel Administration. She currently serves as chair of the JMU Women for Madison Advisory Council, was recently appointed to the JMU Board of Visitors for a second four-year term, serves on the Board of Directors for the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA) and has most recently served on the Board of Directors of the JMU Alumni Association. She has previously served as president of the JMU Black Alumni Association and served on the board of the Monticello Area Community Action Agency in Charlottesville, Va.
