William Chichester, III

Capital One

William Chichester, III (RBS ’01) is Capital One's Diversity Lead for Campus Recruiting. Since 2007, William managed relationships with 8 national professional associations and 25 colleges. Through those partnerships, he's hired hundreds of undergraduates across the U.S. into some of the nation’s largest financial firms. Since joining Capital One, he's hired over 250 students nationwide. Outside of work, William offers career & college admissions coaching to students, parents & professionals.

Active in the community, William led the Ron Brown Scholar Alumni Association for two years and served on several non-profit boards. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and an alumni spokesman of the Sallie Mae Fund's Kids2College Program. On September 10, 2009, he appeared on BET for Viacom's "Get Schooled" initiative. In 2010, William won several fellowships, namely the StartingBloc and the Richard J. Riordan, and a full-ride scholarship to Middlebury College’s world renowned Arabic Summer Language Institute. For his commitment to the growth & professional development of young black males, the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., inducted William as a member on February 22, 2014 and appointed him as a Board Member of the 100 Black Men of Central Virginia & Co-Chapter Advisor to the Collegiate 100 Society of the University of Virginia on October 1, 2014.

A first generation college graduate, William holds a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia where he earned approximately $100,000 in scholarships & grants, the Institute for International Public Policy (IIPP) Fellowship and residency on The Lawn.
